melody you will know all the notes in both the treble and the bass clefs, as well as the little short lines above and below the staff, plus all 7 of the flats and all 7 of the sharps and how they affect each note. The "Big Three" of Music Reading
Within the 2nd hour you'll know what rhythm is about and how to keep time in 3/4 and 4/4 -- (the two basic meters that comprise 90% of all songs). You'll know and understand that measures are "rhythm rooms" that contain a combination of note values -- quarter notes, eights notes, half notes, etc. -- and rests (signs of silence).
In the third hour you'll learn about unisons (one note), intervals (two notes) and chords (3 or more notes) and the 4 main types of chords as we learn harmony. We'll see how easy it is to memorize the 1 dozen major chords, then transform them into minor chords by moving just one note, augmented chords by moving another note, and diminished chords by moving two notes. Then we'll learn about inversions (chords upside down) and extended chords (such as 6th chords, 7th chords, etc.)
In the last session together we'll put all 3 elements -- melody, rhythm, and harmony -- together to see how they all fit -- and they fit beautifully, so we'll demonstrate how the 3 elements blend together in a song such as "America The Beautiful."

Myth #4. You need to have hundreds of your own recipes which you've tried personally.
FALSE. Don't be fooled into thinking the cookbook authors you see on TV have personally made each of the thousands of recipes they've published in their cookbooks. The truth is, as long as you can verify that the recipe works and it fits your cookbook theme, you can consider using it. I'll show you where to find recipes you can use and how to easily format your own recipes.
Myth #5. It's difficult to verify where the recipe came from and you may get sued for using it.
FALSE. According to copyright law:
“Mere listings of ingredients as in recipes, formulas, compounds or prescriptions are not subject to copyright protection. However, where a recipe or formula is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions, or when there is a combination of recipes, as in a cookbook, there may be a basis for copyright protection.”
Don't get me wrong, I don't advise you to steal other people's recipes, but the law clearly states that you can use a recipe as long as you're not using the "substantial literary expression" from the author's instructions. That means you can keep the ingredients the same and, as long as you re-write the directions in your own words, you should be safe. Plus, authors usually copyright their entire cookbook, not individual recipes.
Now, don't go and re-write someone's entire cookbook. Be original, find you're own idea. But at the same time, don't worry that one recipe you got from a magazine 10 years ago is off limits - especially if you've made it and improved on it over the years.
The bottom line is, I'm not a lawyer and I can't offer legal advice - so don't use what I say as such. But I can tell you what my experience has been.
Myth #6. You need to be very tech savvy or a computer expert.
FALSE. Like I mentioned, these days, user-friendly software and inexpensive freelancers will do everything you need done. After publishing five cookbooks, I still don't know Quark, PageMaker, Typesetting, PHP or any of that techie stuff. If you're savvy enough to log on and read this letter, I can show you how to get your cookbook done.
Myth #7. You need to get a book deal or have a good agent.
The course does cover where to find a good agent and how to get your books in stores. However, you can also do quite well by self-publishing because you keep all of the profits. You don't have to wait around for years hoping that a publisher gets interested in your cookbook. These days it's never been easier to publish your own cookbook at make sales both online and off.

If there was no competition I'd be more concerned. Plus, if people are looking forward to you putting out a cookbook, they will buy it because YOU are what makes it unique.

My problems started when I was just 18 years old. When I first spotted these foul, smelly "balls" clumped on my tonsils, I thought I might have an infection in my throat, maybe even tonsillitis.
There really wasn’t much pain associated with them but they eventually started appearing in my mouth as well as my tonsils. I would sometimes even cough them up. At this point, I thought I better go to the doctor.
